23 Pics Of Richard Simmons, Who Was Clearly the Happiest Man Alive
No matter how excited you may be to hit the gym, setting your cute two-piece athleisure set on your chair, placing your calf-length socks in your sneakers, and pre-chilling your water bottle, you'll never be as excited as late '80s fitness icon Richard Simmons.
Throughout his iconic career, Simmons, who died at age 76 on Saturday, was a sweaty, fit force to be reckoned with. Dubbed “the clown prince of fitness" by People magazine back in the '80s, the fitness legend did his damndest to help us not only get fit, launching workout classes at his Slimmons studio in Beverly Hills, California, and of course, releasing his iconic "Sweatin' to the Oldies" VHS tapes, but to also embrace the joy in living healthfully.
From his late show appearances to some very unconventional photoshoots, here are 23 photos of Richard Simmons' neon-colored, sweat-soaked life and career.
